Fire Risk Assessment

A fire risk assessment is a methodical and thorough fire safety assessment of your premises and the activities that you carry out. Based on the results of the risk assessment, we will be able to advise you about the degree of protection that your existing fire safety strategy, procedures and equipment provides to your premises, staff and customers.

How Do We Carry Out Fire Risk Assessments?

Fire Guard Services' five step risk assessment process includes:

Hazard

Will identify potential sources of fire in the premises and assess their likelihood of causing harm. This step helps to identify the fire hazards present in the building.

People

We will identify the individuals who may be at risk in the event of a fire. This includes employees, visitors and members of the public. The assessment will consider factors such as mobility, location, and role.

Evaluate

We will evaluate the identified fire hazards and risks, and implement measures to remove, reduce, or protect against them. This may include installing fire safety equipment, implementing fire safety procedures, and providing training to staff.

Record

We will document our findings and create a fire safety plan. This will include information on fire safety procedures, training requirements, and any necessary maintenance. We will also inform and instruct all personnel of their responsibilities in the event of a fire.

Review

We will review the fire safety plan annually to ensure that it is up to date and effective. This will include assessing any changes to the premises, personnel, and fire safety equipment.
